Daily Madden: Credit The Spurs For Great Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - The San Antonio Spurs sank three quarters of their shots in the first half Tuesday night on the way to a 111-92 victory over the Miami Heat in Game Three of the NBA Finals.

"You talk about the dish running away with the spoon... that looked like a video game," John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew.

Madden said it was more about great offense than poor defense.

"When you get scoring like that -- 76% in the first half -- you think 'well that has to be bad defense.' I thought the Heat was playing pretty hard on defense."

The Spurs now lead the series 2-1.

"Both those teams are well-coached teams with a lot of talent," Madden said. "Maybe just the way (Spurs coach Gregg Popovich) looks or the way he acts or that his name Popovich or something, but I like him. I like him as a coach. I think he's really a good coach." (6:20)
