Daily Madden: Are Richie Incognito's Playing Days Over?
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Suspended Dolphins lineman Richie Incognito engaged in a "pattern of harassment" against teammate Jonathan Martin, said other players and an assistant trainer, according to a just-released investigative report commissioned by the NFL.
"I've never experienced anything that lasted that long," John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "There would be an incident where someone would say something and then it would kind of cool down, calm down, go away, and that was it. But this just seemed to be - and again the report just came out - but it seemed to be a very consistent thing."
Martin is a free agent and isn't expected to return to the Dolphins. Will he play for another team?
"If they let him," Madden said. "I could see that there's a possibility that they wouldn't let him. (But) there's always going to be someone who will take him if he can still play."
Madden said Incognito was a controversial player before the issues with Martin surfaced.
"Incognito was a guy that always played on the edge. If you saw some illegal cut or chop, or some guy hitting late or something in a film, and you didn't know exactly what you were watching, you could guess that has to be Incognito." (7:15)
