Motorcyclist dies after running red light and crashing into pickup in Vacaville, CHP says

VACAVILLE – A motorcyclist has died after a crash at a major Vacaville intersection Wednesday morning.

The incident happened near the intersection of Alamo Drive and Peabody Road.

California Highway Patrol says the motorcyclist appears to have run a red light at Alamo Drive. The motorcyclist then crashed into a pickup truck that was legally turning left on a green signal. 

Officers say the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Due to the crash investigation, Vacaville police say the intersection was shut down for most of the morning.
