Cost To File Ballot Measure in California Jumps From $200 To $8,000 Following Kill All Gays Initiative
SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) -- It could cost a lot more to file a ballot measure in California.
The assembly just passed a bill raising the filing fee from $200 to $8,000.
The increase is designed to discourage outlandish ballot measures in a response to an initiative that would authorize the killing of gays and lesbians.
