Concord Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- A person used a handgun to rob a gas station in Concord Sunday afternoon, police said.

Officers were dispatched at about 4:10 p.m. to the Grand Gasoline store at 605 Contra Costa Blvd. on a report of a robbery, according to police.

The clerk told officers the suspect got away with some money from the store, Concord police Sgt. Carl Cruz said.

Cruz said officers searched the area with the help of a California Highway Patrol helicopter and did not find the suspect.

Officers are in the process of obtaining video records from the store, he said.
