Burglars Swipe Computers From 9 Offices On UC Berkeley Campus
BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- Campus police at the University of California at Berkeley are investigating a burglary that occurred at the school last week, involving 9 offices that had been broken into.
Police responded to a report of a burglary Tuesday on the 9th floor of Evans Hall, police said.
When officers arrived they discovered 9 offices had been broken into and computers had been taken, according to police.
The burglar may have entered through a smashed window on the ninth floor, police said.
In recent months there has been a spike in burglaries involving window smashing on campus, police said.
Buildings that have recently reported burglaries include Northgate, Dwinelle, Cory, Wellman, Moses Halls and Hass School of Business, according to police.
