LAPD: Chris Brown Arrested On Suspicion Of Assault With Deadly Weapon
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police in Los Angeles announced early Tuesday evening that R&B singer Chris Brown has been arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Detectives have been investigating the circumstances surrounding an assault that allegedly took place at Brown's house in Tarzana early Tuesday morning.
Around 3 a.m., officers received a call for help from a woman standing outside of Brown's residence, located in the 5000 block of Corbin Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to TMZ, the singer is suspected of threatening Miss California Regional 2016, Baylee Curran, with a gun after she refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Police responded to the scene and surrounded the multi-million dollar mansion, urging Brown to speak with authorities about the incident.
Brown emerged from his home at about 2:30 p.m. to speak with an officer.
