Celebrities Take To Social Media To Mourn Philip Seymour Hoffman
(CBS SF) - With the sudden death of acclaimed actor
Philip Seymour Hoffman, celebrities took to social media in droves to reflect and pay tribute to the fallen actor.
Hoffman is survived by his longtime partner, Mimi O'Donnell, and their three children. Just before noon, his family released the following statement:
"We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you respect our privacy during this time of grieving. Please keep Phil in your thoughts and prayers."
Many notable figures have conveyed their respects and mourn the loss of Hoffman via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
