EAST SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A girl suffered non-life threatening injuries Friday morning after a vehicle struck her in East San Jose and traffic is reopened on eastbound McKee Road east of King Road, according to San Jose police.

Officers remained at the scene this morning of the automobile versus pedestrian collision in the area of McKee and Checkers Drive, a few blocks southwest of Overfelt Garden Park, Officer Albert Morales said.

Police responded to an emergency call at 7:34 a.m. about a female juvenile struck by a vehicle, according to Morales.

The girl was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were serious but not threatening to her life, Morales said.

The driver of the vehicle stopped after the collision and cooperated with police officers, he said.
