Caltrain 'Holiday Train' To Roll Through Peninsula

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – In what has become an annual tradition, the Caltrain "Holiday Train" is set to roll on the Peninsula this weekend.

The train, decorated with 70,000 lights, leaves the San Francisco Caltrain station at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday night, the train will make stops in Burlingame, Redwood City, Mountain View and Santa Clara. The train will make stops in Millbrae, San Mateo, Menlo Park and Sunnyvale on Sunday evening.

At each stop, Santa will make an appearance and there will be holiday entertainment. Volunteers will also collect toys for local children in need.

The Holiday Train made its debut in 2001.
