Caltrain Hits Car On Tracks In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A Caltrain with about 200 passengers aboard struck a car on the tracks in San Francisco Thursday.
The car was unoccupied at the time and no one on the train was hurt.
The crash happened at 16th and Mississippi St. at 11:25 a.m. involving the northbound 237 train.
It was unclear why the car was on the tracks.
Trains were set to resume service around 12:15 after the tracks were cleared, said Caltrain. The 237 was 70 mins delayed and the 139 was 40 minutes delayed.
