By The Numbers: Warriors Starters Misfired In Game 3

HOUSTON (CBS SF) – Numbers can often be deceiving in sports, but they really told the tale when it came to Houston's Game 3 victory in their playoff series against the Golden State Warriors.

Without Steph Curry, several key Golden State Warriors starters simply failed to perform at their expected level of play.

In the area of player plus-minus – a mathematical breakdown of all aspects of a player's performance – Andrew Bogut was a minus 11, Klay Thompson a minus 7, Draymond Green a minus 7 and Harrison Barnes also a minus 7.

Green was quick to point out his own shortcomings.

"I was awful the whole game," he said. "I didn't have my regular energy and didn't play with the intensity I normally have, and that's what leads to missed shots and turnovers."

So why was the game decided by one point? It came down to an amazing performance by the Warriors bench. Clink on see more details on the graphic below to see the bench's amazing performance in numbers.
