Brentwood School Locked Down After Reports Of Threatening Phone Call

BRENTWOOD (CBS SF) – An elementary school in the East Bay city of Brentwood was locked down Monday afternoon after school officials reportedly received a threatening phone call.

According to the Brentwood Police Department, Brentwood Elementary on Griffith lane was placed on lockdown as a precaution after a man called the superintendent's office claiming he had a gun and threatened to shoot at students.

After receiving the call, police and SWAT officers responded to the school to investigate and the superintendent's office sent a note out to parents.

School officials have asked parents to pick up their children from school.

Police have not released info on any potential suspects.
