Big Rig Flips Over On Highway 101 In San Jose; Traffic Snarled

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A crash involving an overturned big rig blocked several lanes of  U.S. 101 in San Jose Thursday.

The crash happened sometime after  1:00 p.m. along southbound 101 at the McKee Road exit.

The San Jose Fire Department said driver became trapped inside the cab of the semi truck and firefighters were able to extricate him shortly after 1:30 p.m.

There was no immediate word on the driver's condition or what caused the big rig to overturn.

The left three lanes were closed as clean-up crews dealt with an extensive oil spill, according the fire department.
