Big-Rig Fire On Eastbound I-580 Briefly Blocks Lanes In Pleasanton
PLEASANTON (CBS SF) - A traffic alert was issued Tuesday afternoon after a big-rig fire briefly shut down three lanes of eastbound I-580 just west of I-680 in Pleasanton, according to authorities.
A Sig-Alert was issued by CHP at 4:40 p.m. after the vehicle fire shut down traffic in the three right lanes on 580. Motorists were advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes if possible.
CHP were able to quickly clear the scene, reopening the lanes just before 5 p.m.
