Biden Praises PG&E Job Training Program During Oakland Appearance

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Vice President Joe Biden praised PG&E Friday for their work creating job training programs.

Biden's speech focused on the role the private sector can play in developing a skilled workforce and a variety of job skills.

PG&E has a program known as Power Pathway that is designed to do just that.

"This is one of the premiere programs in the country," said Biden.

"PowerPathway is a collaboration between local colleges, the public workforce development system, and unions to enlarge the talent pool of qualified candidates for entry-level opportunities," quotes PG&E.

The stop was part of a two-day public appearance and fundraising visit by Biden and his wife Jill.
