Bicyclist Dies In Collision With Car In Berkeley Intersection

BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- A bicyclist that was hit by a car over the weekend has died.

Officers were called out to the intersection of Eunice and Spruce Streets on reports of a bicyclist down on Sunday morning.  When they arrived, they realized that the cyclist had collided with a car.

The cyclist, Berkeley resident Kurt Wehner, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to to Highland Hospital where he died on Monday. He was 62 years old.

Investigators say that the involved motorist and witnesses are cooperating with investigators.
