Bay Lights To Brighten Sky Over San Francisco Bay In Time For Super Bowl Fifty
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The Bay Lights that lit up the Bay Bridge went dark in March, but will once again dazzle spectators and football fans flooding into the city for Super Bowl Fifty next year.
The lights were turned off earlier this year as Caltrans performs maintenance on the bridge.
Once the lights are turned back on, the artwork will be gifted to the state and become a permanent fixture.
Bay Area artist Leo Villareal created the Bay Lights, which is the world's largest LED light sculpture.
