Bay Area's Hopes Of Hosting Olympics Dashed
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The Bay Area's dreams of hosting the summer Olympic Games have been dashed.
The U.S. Olympic Committee says it is working with Los Angeles on a bid for the 2024 games.
The committee turned to Los Angeles after Boston's bid collapsed last month.
There had been talk of possibly a joint bid by Los Angeles and the Bay Area but it's reportedly not going to happen.
Los Angeles hosted the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984.
