Bay Area Temperatures Soaring to 80 Degrees By Monday, Just Days After Snow
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- In the same week that winter-like storms dusted Mount Diablo and Mount Hamilton with snow flurries, the weather forecast now calls for summer-like heat, with highs above 80 by Monday, and even 84 by Tuesday in some areas.
This ridge of high pressure is a polar opposite to the previous Tuesday.
On April Fool's Day, Mother Nature played a joke, dusting Mount Hamilton in Santa Clara County with snow that lasted through Wednesday, and snow and ice even closed down the road leading to the top of Mount Diablo in Contra Costa County.
KPIX 5 meteorologist Paul Deanno forecasts mid-80s inland, but even cities along the Bay could hit 80 on Tuesday, before the clouds and cooler temperatures return.
