2 Bay Area Stores Sell Winning Tickets In Saturday's SuperLotto Plus Drawing
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Luck was on the side of two Bay Area stores which sold winning tickets in Saturday's SuperLotto Plus drawing, California Lottery officials announced Sunday.
One winner bought a ticket at the Arco AM/PM market at 15531 San Pablo Ave. in Richmond and the other winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven store at 1838 Milmont Drive in Milpitas, lottery officials said.
Both winners will receive $3.5 million each of the $7 million prize, lottery officials said.
The stores are about 50 miles away from each other and will be given $17,500 apiece for selling a winning ticket, according to lottery officials.
The money given to the stores is taken from a fund separate from the jackpot that they can receive before the winners come forward, lottery officials said.
Saturday's winning numbers were 1, 5, 16, 24, 30 and Mega number 7.
State lottery officials are calling on the winners to claim their prize by signing the back of their tickets in ink.
They are then advised to put the ticket in a safe place and go to a lottery district office as soon as possible, lottery officials said.
There are two lottery offices in the Bay Area. One is at 820 Dubuque Ave. in South San Francisco and the other is at 2489 Industrial Parkway West.
