BART Service Resumes At Hayward Station After Police Investigate Person On Tracks

HAYWARD (CBS SF) - Train service has resumed at the Hayward BART station Thursday morning after police investigated reports that a person was under a train there, police said.

BART police received reports of a person possibly underneath a train at 8:46 a.m., but officers could not find anyone under the train.

Witnesses told police that a man had jumped down to the tracks and laid down.

Police said that at one point the man was under the train, but he was apparently not struck and moved on to a different track.

Officers were unable to locate the man.
