The Oakland A's teamed up with the Raiders and set up a YouCaring page to collect money and they've pledged to match donations up to $30,000.

They had already surpassed their initial goal, with more than $34,000 on Saturday night.

The Warriors announced Saturday evening that the team would donate $50,000 to the Unity Council, a nonprofit organization in the Fruitvale District where the fatal fire happened.

"When a tragedy of this magnitude hits this close to home, we feel it's imperative to do our small part to help our community and those impacted," Warriors president Rick Welts said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families and friends during this incredibly difficult time."

They also had a moment of silence for the victims before Saturday night's game at Oracle Arena.

The Grey Area Foundation for the Arts set up a Ghost Ship Relief Fund on the YouCaring page and had raised more than $84,000 by 9 p.m. Saturday.
