Armed Robbers Hold Up Patrons At San Francisco Nail Salon
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A night at a San Francisco nail salon turned frightening when several people armed with semiautomatic weapons stormed the salon and robbed the people inside.
According to witnesses, the suspects entered Sydney Nails on Octavia near Union shortly before 8 p.m. Friday night.
Dung Tran, whose wife worked at the salon, told KPIX 5, "She says one guy was walking in with a gun with a mask on, and after that two guys were following in."
The San Francisco Police Department said there were between three to five suspects who robbed everyone inside. Police said the suspects took off in a blue Toyota and was seen going through Gough Street at speeds of more than 70 miles an hour.
Officers working off a victim's description started chasing the car through the city, before the Toyota crashed near Ninth Street and Mission in the South of Market.
Up to three people sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision, Officer Albie Esparza said. No one was injured in the initial robbery.
Police said the suspects ran again. They set up a perimeter and captured two of the suspects.
