PIX Now - Morning Edition 10/18/24

An armed prowler was spotted running in Danville early Friday morning while urging residents to call for the police, authorities said.

Witnesses reported that the man appeared disoriented and was running in the area of Park Hill and Morninghome roads at 2:36 a.m. as if fleeing from someone. He was reportedly carrying what looked like a handgun, while he repeatedly urged them to contact the police.

He was described as a Middle Eastern male, wearing a blue hoodie and blue pants.

Police, along with sheriff's deputies and a K-9 unit, searched the area but the man was not found.

The public was urged to stay vigilant around the 600 block of Park Hill and report any unusual or suspicious activities immediately.

Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact Lt. Heather Transue at (925) 314-3702 or Htransue@danville.ca.gov.
