ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A motorist in an allegedly stolen vehicle slammed into several vehicles while speeding on a residential street in Antioch last week, according to police reports released Monday.
The driver, identified by police as 32-year-old John Foster, attempted to flee but was arrested after the crash at around 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 3200 block of G Street.
Officers learned that Foster was driving a Honda reported stolen out of Stockton at speeds topping 60 miles per hour on G Street when he collided with a vehicle and then two parked cars, according to police.
The 45-year-old motorist that he collided with was pulling out of his driveway, police said. The man suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Foster, who also suffered a number of injuries of an unspecified severity, allegedly tried to flee after the crash.
Nearby residents stopped Foster from leaving the scene. Responding officers arrested him, but he was later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No additional details were immediately available.
