Antioch Police Arrest Home Invasion Victim Over Alleged Marijuana Grow

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) – A victim of a home invasion robbery in Antioch was arrested Tuesday in connection with a marijuana grow operation after police reportedly found hundreds of marijuana plants in the residence.

Loc Ly, 41, of Antioch, was arrested on suspicion of marijuana cultivation, according to the Antioch Police Department.

Officers responded Tuesday at 6:55 p.m. to the 4000 block of Banbury Way on a report of a disturbance and contacted Ly, who said he was the victim of a home invasion robbery, police said.

Investigators learned four to five men were interested in stealing marijuana plants that were growing inside the residence, police said.

Officers discovered 492 marijuana plants growing inside the residence, and since there was no evidence the plants were possessed for medical purposes, Ly was taken into custody.
