Amazon's Hopes To Spark Fire Sale With Line Of New Tablets

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Amazon is launching a cheap tablet to reach a broader audience.

The $50 Fire comes with with a 7-inch display, dual cameras and eight gigs of storage, and in a bid to win over businesses. If you buy five you get a sixth Fire tablet for free.

Two larger Fire tablets will cost more, and and all three comes with dedicated content pages for books, games, apps, videos and music, and because Amazon's tablets are running on a customized version of Google's Android, users won't have access to Google Play and other services and apps.

Amazon also debuted a new Fire TV for $100, along with a version of the Fire TV stick that comes with a voice remote for an additional ten bucks.
