California Academy Of Sciences Octopus Picks Giants To Win World Series
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - If you're still trying to wrap your head around the fact that the Giants are playing in their third World Series in five years, get ready for this - Ringo the Rational Octopus has wrapped his tentacles around a Giants helmet, meaning it's time for San Franciscans to start planning another victory parade.
It may have felt to many Giants fans like the team had lost its grip on the title after the Royals evened the series in game two, but that's when the California Academy of Sciences octopus gave orange & black backers something to cling to by not only grabbing the Giants helmet in his tank but climbing right inside.
The photos are below, but it's worth noting that you can't actually see a Royals logo available anywhere in the tank. Perhaps that's just the Golden Gate Park-based biologists providing a little home tank advantage.
Still, it's a good sign for the home team. Either that or just a sign that Ringo has always dreamed of becoming a giant octopus.
