737 Flying Low Over Golden Gate Bridge Surprises Tourists

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- Tourists got a surprise Tuesday when a 737 flew low over the Golden Gate Bridge for a TV commercial shoot.

Alaska Airlines was filming the commercial with a new 737 jet, which flew just a few hundred feet over the bridge's towers.

Camera crews followed the jetliner in a Learjet.

"I think it's pretty cool. It's something you don't see every day," tourist Beau Randolph told KCBS.

The jets were scheduled to fly again Tuesday afternoon between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. to get those iconic sunset shots of the Golden Gate, presumably.
