71,000 Britax Car Seats For Infants Recalled

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Child car seat maker Britax is recalling thousands of seats due to handles that can break, creating a potential choking hazard.

The company is recalling more than 71,000 infant car seats.

The recall covers the "B-Safe 35" and "B-Safe 35 Elite" carriers as well as the "B-Safe 35 Travel System" made from October 1st, 2014 to July 1st, 2015.

Britax received 74 complaints about the handles cracking or breaking.

It says it will notify registered owners and ship them a reinforcement kit for free.
