Missing 5-Year-Old Mendocino County Girl Found Safe
WILLITS, Mendocino County (CBS SF) -- A young girl reported missing in Mendocino County and being sought by a number of public safety agencies was found safe Friday afternoon, according to authorities.
The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office said the girl, identified as five-year-old Raina Rinker, was last seen in front of her home late Friday morning in Willits in a rural area of the Brooktrails subdivision.
Sometime after 5:00 p.m., the sheriff's office posted on its Facebook page that Raina had been found safe and uninjured.
Assistance in the girl's search had been requested from the local fire department, Cal Fire and the sheriff's office search & rescue team.
The Willits News reported a Cal Fire engine found her, and a Cal Fire helicopter was to bring her to the command center at a local school.
No word yet on the circumstances of her disappearance or where she was found.
