Elementary School In San Francisco's Ingleside Height Neighborhood Evacuated After Bomb Threat
SAN FRANCISCO (CBB SF/BCN) -- An elementary school in San Francisco's Ingleside Heights neighborhood has been evacuated Monday morning because of a bomb threat, police said.
Jose Ortega Elementary School at 400 Sargent St. was evacuated as a result of a bomb threat found on a note on campus and reported at 7:38 a.m., according to police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan said.
Students have been told to go home with their parents and the Police Department's bomb squad responded to the campus, Gatpandan said.
No other information about the incident was immediately available this morning.
