3 Arrested In Attack That Hospitalized Alameda County Sheriff's Deputy
CASTRO VALLEY (CBS SF) -- Three people were arrested in an attack that put an Alameda County Sheriff's Deputy in the hospital on Saturday night.
The deputy and his partner were trying to break up a fight involving two men and a "bloody" women in Castro Valley at about 11 p.m. when all three suspects turned on the deputies.
One deputy was punched, breaking a bone in his face.
"The first deputy that was injured is still in the hospital. He's is serious but stable condition," Alameda County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly said.
"(He) was struck in the face and severely injured with multiple facial fractures that are ultimately going to require reconstructive surgery.
The other deputy was choked and put in a headlock, but was able to pull out his stun gun and get control of the suspects.
Suspects arrested were Willie Tinoifili, Keith Carter and Kelly Carter.
Kelly said one of the suspects is a martial arts practitioner and that drugs and alcohol were involved.
