3-Alarm Fire Burns Tire Shop In SF Mission District, Nearby Apartments Evacuated
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- One building is threatening to collapse and another has been evacuated at the scene of a three-alarm blaze involving a tire shop in San Francisco's Inner Mission Sunday morning, according to firefighters.
The incident was first reported at 7:45 a.m. in the vicinity of Shotwell and 16th streets and has gutted the Rolling Stock tire shop.
Some flames have spread to an apartment building next door, prompting officials to evacuate the structure. According to a tweet from the San Francisco Fire Department, the evacuees include 17 adults, 4 children and a pet.
