VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- A 2-year-old girl from San Leandro is on life support after she was found unconscious in a swimming pool late Sunday morning while visiting relatives in Vallejo, police said.

Vallejo police officers and firefighters responded to a report of a drowning in the area of the 800 block of Tobin Drive shortly before 11:30 a.m., police said.

The girl was found unconscious and not breathing in the backyard swimming pool at a home, according to police.

The child's parents were inside the home with other family members when the incident occurred, police said.
