2 Small Quakes Rattle Central California

GILROY (CBS) -- Two small quakes rattled Central California Thursday evening.

The first happened at about about 6:00 p.m. approximately 1.5 miles WSW of Hollister, and was a magnitude 1.0, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The second occurred at about 6:40 p.m. in the same region. The USGS said the temblor was a magnitude 1.4.
