Anh Wong, who commutes from San Jose to San Francisco, was among those filling up at the Gas & Shop Monday morning.

"The price before, we spent like $45. Now, it's $30 bucks," Wong told KCBS. Wong said he is now spending the extra money on his 10-month-old baby.

Other Bay Area cities where gas is being sold under $2 a gallon include Concord and Mill Valley. Prices are mainly low due to recent volatility in the crude oil market.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular in California is $2.50 a gallon.
