UPDATE: Crews Control 4-Alarm Warehouse Fire In San Jose
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A four-alarm warehouse fire that broke out Friday morning in San Jose has been brought under control, according to San Jose Fire Department officials.
Firefighters responded about 10:40 a.m. to the fire at 1615 S. 7th St., just south of CEFCU Stadium and west of Kelley Park at around 10:39 a.m. The fire sent up a column of thick, black smoke which could be seen for miles.
A second alarm was quickly called by firefighters. It went to four alarms at 11:10 a.m. At about 2:30 p.m., fire officials announced the fire was under control.
No injuries have been reported.
Firefighters are responding to a commercial fire on the 1600 block of S 7th Street. Please avoid the area.
