15-Acre Vegetation Fire Burning West Of Morgan Hill

MORGAN HILL (CBS SF) -- A vegetation fire burning west of Morgan Hill near the Chesbro Reservoir Thursday afternoon has grown to 25 acres, according to Cal Fire.

Crews responded to a report of a fire in the 17000 block of Oak Glen Avenue just after 1:30 p.m., Cal Fire officials said.

As of 3:30 p.m., the blaze was 30 percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

No injuries have been reported. The blaze was threatening structures in the area, Cal Fire officials said.

About 100 to 125 firefighters were working to extinguish the blaze, Cal Fire officials said.

Two helicopters and four air tankers were deployed to help in firefighting efforts, according to Cal Fire.

Morgan Hill police said officers evacuated residents of the Woodland Estates mobile home park. They've been allowed to return as of 4:35 p.m.
