OAKLAND (KCBS) — The 14-year-old Oakland boy suspected in the fatal shooting of his 17-year-old sister last week has turned himself in.

Police say they believe Mario Toliver, Jr., fatally shot his sister, Justice Toliver, at their home at a high-rise apartment building at 801 Webster St. in Oakland's Chinatown district around 12:15 p.m. last Thursday.

According to police, the boy walked into the police station Wednesday accompanied by family members.

Police said the shooting happened after the siblings got into a fight over laundry. Justice Toliver leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter.

Authorities had been asking the boy to turn himself in and a $10,000 reward had been offered for information leading to his arrest.
