Pickup Truck Crashes Through Fence Into Backyard Of San Jose Home; 1 Dead

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A person was killed when the pickup truck he was in crashed into the backyard of a home in San Jose Friday.
San Jose Police said the crash happened at approximately 10:46 A.M. at a home on the 3200 block of Sprucegate Court just south of Quimby Road.
It appeared the pickup truck with two male occupants was traveling south on Ruby Road next to Evergreen Valley High School when it plowed through a concrete wall and into the home's backyard.
The truck was left a mangled wreck. One occupant was declared dead at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
It was not immediately clear what caused the collision. Police investigators where at the scene late Friday morning.
