Woman's Body Found Under Interstate 80 Just West Of Nevada State Line
NEVADA COUNTY (CBS13) - Deputies are investigating the discovery of a woman's body beneath Interstate 80 in California near the Nevada state line.
Nevada County Sheriff's deputies received reports of the discovery that was Monday near the last exit on eastbound Interstate 80 before Nevada. They arrived on the scene to find the body of a deceased Black woman in her mid-40s with signs of trauma.
Deputies say it is still too early to say exactly what caused the injuries, but suspect it may be suspicious since they hadn't received reports of recent accidents in the area.
The California Department of Justice's mobile crime is at the scene and is being used to help investigators process evidence.
Deputies have not identified a suspect has not been identified.
