Woman Walking Along I-5 Hit, Killed By Big Rig
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Officers say that a woman walking up the northbound lane of Interstate 5 was hit and killed by a big rig early Thursday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol, the woman was walking along the freeway when – just before 2:30 a.m., she made contact with the side of the big rig.
The woman, who has not been identified at this time, was killed.
Crews had northbound I-5 closed just after the Broadway exit for around 90 minutes, backing up traffic all the way to the Sutterville Road exit.
All lanes of I-5 have since be reopened.
