Tracy woman arrested in shooting death of husband

TRACY — A Tracy woman is behind bars accused of shooting and killing her husband, authorities said Thursday.

Jean Miranda, 43, was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail and faces charges of murder and a weapons charge, the Tracy Police Department said.

Officers responded on Wednesday to an address along Hampshire Lane for a report of a man who was shot, the department said. The man—later identified as Wesley Bozek, 53— was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Bozel was declared dead Thursday.

Tracy police said there was no threat to the community at large.

Information regarding the motive for the shooting was not available.
