Whole Foods Pulls Pre-Peeled Oranges From Shelves After Online Outrage
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Facing the wrath of the internet, Whole Foods has pulled a pre-peeled orange product from their stores.
A tweet sent out Thursday morning by Twitter user Nathalie Gordon seems to have sparked the backlash. Gordon posted a photo of the product – pre-peeled oranges packed in a plastic tub – along with the sarcastic caption "If only nature would find a way to cover these oranges so we didn't need to waste so much plastic on them."

Later Thursday, Whole Foods responded to Gordon and said they would be pulling the product.
@awlilnatty Definitely our mistake. These have been pulled. We hear you, and we will leave them in their natural packaging: the peel.
