Wet Weather Short-Lived, Sunshine Returns

A fast-moving storm brought rain and Sierra snow, but the wet weather will be short-lived.

The east side of the Sacramento Valley saw a little rain Saturday morning, but most amounts were around a hundredth of an inch.

The resorts will pick up a few inches of snow, but will definitely want more due to the dry season.

By midnight all of the rain and snow showers will be over in the foothills and Sierra.

Sunshine will return Sunday with temperatures quickly rebounding from the upper 50s to the low 60s in Sacramento.

You can also expect breezy conditions Sunday from the back end of the exiting storm. Wind gusts in the valley will reach up to 25 mph.

The rest of the week will be dominated by sunshine and above normal temperatures as Sacramento will hover in the mid 60s, with no storms on the horizon.
