WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The West Sacramento Walmart was evacuated due to a reported bomb threat, but no device was found inside the store.

The store on Ikea Court was evacuated at around 7 p.m. on Friday. Police and fire crews responded to the scene outside the store.

The search ended before 10:30 p.m. on Friday night with no devices found in the store.

The California Highway Patrol had traffic controls in effect on Ikea Court in front of the store. Access to the store's parking lot was cut off by law enforcement securing the scene.

Employees waiting outside, away from the store were told the move fell in line with the store's policies and procedures for handling the events, and the goal was to make sure they were able to go home safe to their families.
