West Sacramento Neighborhood Evacuated After Suspicious Package Found

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A neighborhood was evacuated after the bomb squad was called out to investigate a suspicious package delivery.
A homeowner was concerned when an unexpected package showed up on his door just before 8 p.m. on Monday. He said the name on the box was off and it made a strange rattling noise.
The bomb squad ultimately determined the contents weren't dangerous. Police reportedly told the homeowner the box was full of corroded batteries.
It's still unclear who sent the package and why.
