West Sacramento police arrest suspect in homicide near West Capitol Avenue
WEST SACRAMENTO – A suspect has been arrested in a homicide investigation in West Sacramento on Friday morning.
The scene was near West Capitol Avenue and Westacre Road.
West Sacramento police confirmed that detectives were at the scene investigating a homicide, saying it appears that a stabbing stemmed from an altercation between two men.
Police announced Friday afternoon that the suspect, Marcelino Casteneda, was arrested.
Due to the investigation, eastbound lanes of West Capitol Avenue were closed between Poplar Avenue and Westacre Road.
